Instructions
- Go to System -> Preferences -> Keyboard
- Choose Layouts
- Press Add... to add the secondary keyboard layout. Select Ghana from the Available layouts. Select Akan.
NB: It is simpler to have two layouts; the maximum is currently four for Xorg. - Choose Layout Options
- Expand option Group Shift/Lock behaviour
- Choose the key combination that enables you to switch between keyboard layouts. The default is by pressing both Alt keys at the same time. A common alternative is to use Alt+Shift.
- Press Close.

One of our prime focus is to create and promote African content. Writing in an African language requires the language's keyboard, that is why we are taking the time and effort to create keyboard layouts for most African languages across all the major operating systems.
Few months ago we made a public release of our keyboards for Windows and Mac, which are available for download at the project's download page. You can download by clicking on the filename in the list of files for download.

With the windows keyboards, only four languages are included;Ga, Ewe,Hausa and Akan. Our subsequent releases, we will include more languages.
If you use Ubuntu - Linux, you have the keyboards already. All you have to do is enable them at System -> Preferences -> Keyboard.
